Really not trying to be arugmentaive, but sometimes a person outside of an educational career makes a great Principal. I work at a HS in Atlanta, and one of our Assist. Principals has only been in education for three years. She is the best AP we have by far. Sometime being consumed in the classroom makes it hard to have an objective viewpoint when working with the school system, teachers, parents, and community. Our AP came from the business field, where she worked in consumer sales and management positions, and her experience there transferred over well.

Like I said, I'm not trying to argue, just give a different point of view on the hire.
