It was also a way to get Loganville back on the radar from the BOE viewpoint. In the past much money had been given to the Monroe Area schools and Loganville was constantly being overlooked (one only needed to look at the physical condition of the schools in Loganville versus those in Monroe). The LHS stadium was completed long after the one in Monroe was and in fact was needed much more than the Monroe stadium as LHS was still using the original one located at the middle school (former LHS location).

I believe you will find threads here on LOL unless it goes back to the pre-yuku days, where there were glaring examples of favoritism towards the Monroe schools. Now you might say, well the Loganville area schools are still crap and you might be partially correct, but at least some attention is now given as opposed to NO attention.

People on here seem to have a problem with 'hiring from within'. If someone was brought in totally from the outside, many would complain that the individual had no experience with the school district and could not possibly know how it works and would be doomed from the beginning. Most companies try to hire from within, in fact, many will only hire from within. You might not like that this is what is going on and you may be trying to attach it all to Hobbs and a good ole boy system, but the fact remains, hiring from within is a recommended hiring practice.
