Im not sure anyone has a problem with hiring from within. You are missing the point. But then, I remember correctly you missed the point with the Bridget lynch issue as well. And don't think it went unnoticed that you quit posting on the thread when the news stories starting breaking. We , the posters were right about lynch and we, the posters on this thread are right here as well. There is no room for the good old boy system in an educational setting. It is not good for the school system and it is particularly not good for the students in the system. Decisions at the tai mahal should be made with one question mind. How will this benefit the students and is it sustainable ? Right now it seems to us that decisions are made based on whose career can we advance. Walton county needs to understand that the new citizens of the county will not stand for or accept good old boy decisions. Homer is the biggest redneck in the county and as such his usefulness has played out. I don't give a rats ass I they hire within, but I do care that they hire someone that can handle the position and make positive improvements to the students lives in which he is charged with. Lest we forget that Monroe deserves better schools. The Monroe area schools were in need of repair and replacement. The problem with the Loganville schools was lack of upkeep. I was also glad to see they rebuilt them outside the crack infested, worthless city of Monroe. Research shows that better upgraded facilities And clean facilities net better gains than the delapidated Monroe buildings. Kids feel better about themselves and
The school on which they attend. Walton county is racially divided between Monroe and Loganville and racism is alive in the county. We need to end the infighting among races and do what's best for the students of the county.
